Mount Kate is the Mankato area’s premier spot for winter fun and excitement, as well as entertainment year round.

For the skiers in the group, Mount Kato features 19 different ski trails, with 4 beginner trails, 8 intermediate, and 7 advanced.  To get you to the top, Mount Kato runs 8 chair lifts, 5 quad and 3 double 3 handle tows.  Once you’ve sped down the mountain, you’ll want to warm up in Mount Kato’s two-level chalet, offering food service and The Lift Bar.

If you’d rather hit the slopes on a snowboard, Mount Kato also boasts a terrain park where you can perfect your riding and tricks.  If low key is more your speed, snow tubing is available for small or large groups.

Mount Kato isn’t just open during the winter.  During the rest of the year, mountain biking enthusiasts can ride the trails from sunrise to sunset.  7 miles of mountain biking trails are available, from novice to expert rider, with 80% wooded single track.
